Meaning and origin
This is a scrap of pure Slovenian nonsense, of the kind that lives in the playground rather than the songbook. Its hero is a rhyming, made-up character — Anzej Panzej — who knocks down an oven, jumps inside it, props it back up again, bakes bread and hands it round, whereupon the children solemnly conclude that this is only right, since “Anzej gave us bread”. The logic is gloriously beside the point.
